Production process

 

Batching and mixing: Raw materials such as polyvinyl chloride resin, plasticizer, stabilizer, filler, etc. are batched in a certain proportion and then sent to a high-speed mixer for hot mixing. The raw materials are fully melted and mixed evenly through friction heating and mechanical shearing.

Extrusion molding: The mixed thermoplastic PVC resin enters the hopper of the extruder. After the screw rotates and the heater heats, the PVC resin melts and forms a certain pressure. Then it is extruded through the mold to obtain the initial shape of the PVC waterproof membrane.

Coating reinforcement layer: While the membrane is extruded, a reinforcement layer is coated on its surface. Generally, materials such as polypropylene fiber cloth or glass fiber mesh cloth are used. It is coated on the surface of the membrane through an extrusion roller to increase the tensile strength and puncture resistance of the membrane.

Cooling and stretching: The extruded PVC waterproof membrane needs to be cooled and stretched to form the required size and physical properties. In this process, the temperature and speed must be controlled to ensure the flatness and dimensional stability of the membrane.

Cutting, rolling and packaging: The cooled PVC waterproofing coil is cut to the specified length, and then rolled and packaged. The finished product can be inspected for quality and sold on the market after passing the inspection.

 


Equipment composition and characteristics

 

Extruder: It is the core equipment of the production line, responsible for heating and plasticizing the mixed PVC materials and extruding them into shape. Usually a twin-screw extruder is used, which has the characteristics of uniform plasticization, large extrusion volume and high efficiency.

Mold: It determines the shape and size of the coil. Generally, a specially designed flat mold is used to ensure that the extruded coil has uniform thickness and smooth surface.

Cooling device: It includes water tank cooling and cooling rollers, etc., which are used to quickly reduce the temperature of the extruded coil and shape it. Water tank cooling can fully cool the coil, and the cooling roller can further improve the flatness and surface quality of the coil.

Traction device: It provides stable traction for the coil to ensure the uniform speed of the coil on the production line. At the same time, it can stretch the coil to adjust its size and physical properties.

Cutting device: Precisely cut the coil according to the set length. Common cutting methods include mechanical cutting and laser cutting. Mechanical cutting has a lower cost, but the cutting accuracy is relatively low; laser cutting has a higher accuracy, but the equipment cost is higher.

Rolling device: Automatically wind the cut coil onto a paper core or reel for easy storage and transportation. The rolling device usually has a tension control function to ensure that the coil is wound tightly and neatly.
