Production process

Raw material preparation: Mix thermoplastic polyolefin resin, antioxidant, anti-aging agent, softener and other raw materials in a certain proportion.

Extrusion molding: The mixed raw materials are extruded through an extruder to form a TPO sheet. Parameters such as the temperature, pressure and screw speed of the extruder have an important influence on the quality of the sheet.

Composite reinforcement layer: Add a polyurethane mesh reinforcement layer in the middle of the extruded TPO sheet to improve the strength and durability of the roll.

Surface treatment: Attach materials such as fabric fibers or aluminum film to the surface of the TPO sheet to increase the wear resistance and weather resistance of the roll.

Coating self-adhesive: Coat the back of the TPO sheet with self-adhesive to make it self-adhesive. The performance of the self-adhesive directly affects the bonding strength and waterproof effect of the roll.

Cooling and shaping: The roll coated with self-adhesive is cooled and shaped by a cooling device to reach the specified size and shape.

Winding and packaging: The coiled material after cooling and shaping is wound by the winder and then packaged for storage and transportation.

Equipment composition

Extruder: It is the core equipment of the production line, used to extrude the raw materials into TPO sheets. Common extruders include single-screw extruders and twin-screw extruders. Twin-screw extruders have the advantages of uniform mixing and large extrusion volume.

Three-roll calender: It is used to calender the extruded TPO sheet to make its surface smooth and flat, and improve the appearance quality of the coil.

Cooling bracket: It is located at the rear end of the three-roll calender, and several cooling rollers are connected to it for cooling and shaping the TPO sheet.

Tractor: It is used to haul the TPO sheet so that it can run continuously on the production line.

Storage rack: It is used to store a certain length of TPO sheet to ensure the continuity of production.

Glue coating machine: It is used to coat the back of the TPO sheet with self-adhesive glue.

Winding machine: used to roll up the produced TPO self-adhesive waterproofing membrane.
