I. Equipment Types and Technical Characteristics

 

Intermittent refining equipment ‌

It adopts a pot structure, which is suitable for small-scale production. It is simple to operate but has relatively low efficiency, and there are safety risks (such as the pot bottom being prone to burning through).

It requires manual or extrusion feeding, with a cracking time of 8 to 10 hours. The raw material applicability is relatively wide (such as plastic whole materials).

Continuous refining equipment ‌

The latest technology adopts sealed screw feeding, low-temperature cracking (280-320℃) and multi-stage condensation system to achieve 24-hour continuous operation, with a processing capacity of 6-20 tons per day.

It has outstanding environmental protection performance and is equipped with a flue gas desulfurization and deodorization system, wastewater recycling system and carbon black sealed slag discharge system .

Rotary furnace equipment‌

For common rotary furnaces or rotary kilns, the heating is uniform but the loading amount is small. Pre-melting and depolymerization are required to improve production efficiency.

 

Ii. Process Flow


Pretreatment‌

Dewatering‌: Water-containing plastics are dewatered using a filter press or centrifuge to reduce energy consumption for cracking and wastewater production.

Crushing‌: Cutting plastic into pellets or sheets to meet the sealed feeding requirements of continuous equipment.

 

Cracking and condensation‌

The core cracking stage is heated by a burner or tail gas, and the plastic is decomposed into oil gas under a slightly positive pressure and oxygen-free environment.

The oil and gas are cooled and liquefied through multiple stages such as buffer tanks and condensation towers, with an oil yield of approximately 50% (depending on the type of raw materials).

 

By-product treatment‌

Non-condensable gas‌: Purified and reused as fuel to achieve self-sufficiency in energy.

Carbon black‌: Non-toxic when treated at high temperatures and can be used as an industrial raw material (such as in the production of rubber and coatings).

 

Iii. Environmental Protection and Safety Performance

 

Tail gas treatment‌: desulfurization tower, water film dust collector to ensure that the flue gas is discharged up to standard.

Wastewater recycling‌: The cooling water system is closed to prevent wastewater from being discharged.

Equipment structure‌: Boiler steel (e.g. Q245R/Q345R) is used, and burn-through protection technology extends the service life of the main furnace to 5-8 years.

 

Iv. Economy and Market Supply

 

Price range‌: The unit price of the equipment ranges from 5,000 yuan (auxiliary equipment) to 237,500 yuan (complete equipment), and the main suppliers are concentrated in Henan region.

Raw material adaptability‌: Can handle waste tires, mixed plastics (except PET), waste oil sludge, etc., with remarkable oil yield (for example, waste tires yield about 45% of oil).

Raw material requirements‌: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) must be pre-treated for dechlorination to prevent the generation of harmful gases during cracking.
